ITINERARY

 

Day 1: Sunday - Arrival and welcome

Bienvenidos a Costa del Sol, España!

Arrival at the local airport, meet your driver and your private bus and transfer to the school.

Meet your warm Spanish host families and transfer to your new "homes away from home".

Traditional lunch with your host family to begin your language immersion.

Join your teacher for a guided walk to get your bearings in the local neighbourhood, including safety tips and points of interest.

Dinner with the host family and overnight stay.

Accommodation: Host families - special arrangements can be made if the group prefers accommodation at hotels, hostels or shared residencies.

Day 2: Monday - Language Immersion & White Villages

Breakfast with your host family.

Your morning begins with Spanish classes from 09:15 AM to 12:15 PM, designed to build confidence in conversational skills. After class, you will participate in a hands-on Paella Workshop to learn the secrets of Spain’s most famous dish, followed by a buffet lunch at the school. At 02:30 PM, a private bus will take the group to Benalmádena Pueblo and Mijas Pueblo, two iconic "White Villages" famous for their narrow cobblestone streets and flower-filled balconies. You will return to your host families at 07:30 PM for dinner.

Day 3: Tuesday - Explore your town

Breakfast with your host family.

Following your morning Spanish classes and a 01:15 PM buffet lunch at the school, you will depart via private bus for a deep dive into the history of your host town: Malaga, Sevilla, Marbella, Tarifa or another Andalucian town.

In Malaga, for example, you will visit the Alcazaba, a stunning palatial fortification from the Islamic era, and explore the winding streets of the Old Town and the modern Muelle Uno pier. In Sevilla they can visit the Cathedral and the Alcazar. Return home for dinner at 07:30 PM.

Day 4: Wednesday - Day tour - exploring Andalucia

Breakfast at your host family.

Today it you have a full day of discoveries in another historic Andalucian town.

For example, a full-day excursion to Granada. You will depart at 08:00 AM to visit the Alhambra, a breathtaking palace and fortress complex that stands as a masterpiece of Moorish architecture. You will also wander through the Generalife Gardens, the former summer palace of the Nasrid kings, featuring world-renowned fountains and greenery. A picnic lunch prepared by your host families will be enjoyed during the trip, and you will return home by 07:30 PM.

Other towns of special interest are Nijar, Marbella, Cordoba, Sevilla, Malaga, etc.

Day 5: Thursday - Sports & Sunshine

Breakfast at your host family.

After your morning language lessons and a 01:30 PM buffet lunch, the afternoon is dedicated to physical activity and relaxation. The group will walk from the school to the beach to engage in various sports led by a professional monitor. This is a fantastic opportunity to practice informal Spanish with your peers and instructors in a beautiful coastal setting. You will head back to your host family for dinner at 07:30 PM.

Day 6: Friday - half-day tour

Breakfast at your host family.

Depending on your host city, you will have the chance to visit a unique, enticing new town. As a sample, that's a site near Málaga:

Your final Spanish classes of the week take place this morning, followed by a quick 12:45 PM lunch at the school. At 01:30 PM, the group will depart for the Caminito del Rey, a world-famous aerial walkway pinned along the steep walls of a narrow gorge in El Chorro. Accompanied by a monitor, you will experience some of the most dramatic natural scenery in Spain from a safe yet thrilling perspective. You will return to your host families at 07:30 PM for your evening meal.

Day 7: Saturday - Last full day tour in Andalucia

Breakfast at your host family.

On your final excursion day, the group will visit another major town in Andalucia. If you are in Malaga, you can visit Seville for example. From Cadiz, you can visit Jerez or Tarifa. From Seville, there are Granada or Cordoba. Here's a sample of the Seville tour:

Your tour includes the Seville Cathedral, the largest Gothic church in the world, and a climb up the Giralda tower for city views. You will also explore the Real Alcázar, a stunning royal palace still in use today, famous for its intricate tilework and expansive gardens. After enjoying your picnic lunch and a full day of sightseeing, you will return for a final dinner at 07:30 PM with your host families.

Day 8: Sunday - Departure

After a final breakfast with your host families, you will meet the private bus  for the transfer to nearest airport.

Otherwise, the group can select:

Continue their trip with another week of classes and activities in a different Andalucian or Spanish destination (Madrid, Barcelona, etc)

Continue their trip with more days of culture and leisure in Spain
