ITINERARY

 

Day 1: Departure Day

  • Fly from departure city to Copenhagen.
  • Overnight onboard.

Day 2: Arrival to Copenhagen

  • On arrival, be met by an EWT representative who will be with you throughout your tour (optional service).
  • The capital of Denmark is the largest city in the country as well as a trendy destination. It boasts beautiful modern architecture, royal history and a culture that you will want to discover to understand why it is classified as the happiest city worldwide.
  • Entrance to the National Aquarium (Den Blå Planet), the largest aquarium in Northern Europe located nearby the airport. You will be surrounded by water on each side of the aquarium for a close proximity to the marine species.
  • Welcome dinner.

Day 3: Copenhagen

  • Breakfast.
  • Guided tour of Copenhagen. You will see the Old Town, Christianborg Palace (the Parliament), Amalienborg Palace, Nyhavn harbour, the Opera and the Little Mermaid.
  • Afternoon entrance to the National Museum of Denmark after your guided tour, Denmark's largest historical museum. Discover cultural artifacts relating to the Vikings, golden horns, and mummies era. You will also find the best “smørrebrød” – open sandwich – in town!
  • Group dinner at a local restaurant in Nyhavn, a charming renovated port with colourful houses and restaurants.
  • Blow off some steam at the Tivoli Gardens & Amusement Park! Located in the heart of the city, Tivoli is one of the most popular attractions in Denmark.

Day 4: Copenhagen - Elsinore - Frederiksborg - Copenhagen

  • Breakfast.
  • Transfers by private charter bus today.
  • Day-trip to the Northern Castles. You will first drive to Elsinore to visit the breath-taking Kronborg Castle, home of Shakespeare's Hamlet and part of the UNESCO Heritage Sites.
  • Drive to Hillerød after lunch.
  • Discover the stunning Frederiksborg Castle and Museum of National History displaying 500 years of Danish history and applied art.
  • Group dinner.

Day 5: Copenhagen - Departure to Oslo

  • Breakfast.
  • Interactive activity specific to your group - ie. Music clinic, language workshop, international cooking class.
  • Afternoon free at your leisure and shopping opportunity in Strøget.
  • Group dinner onboard.

Day 6: Arrival to Oslo

  • Breakfast onboard.
  • Arrival to Oslo in the morning. Small enough to be explored by foot, the capital city of Norway is a modern blend of cultural attractions and outdoor opportunities.
  • Walking tour of Oslo. You will see Karl Johans gate, the Royal Palace, the National Theatre, the Parliament Buildings, the City Hall and Egertorget.
  • Entrance to one of the two following museums located on the Bygdøy peninsula:
    • Viking Ship Museum. See the world's best-preserved ships from the Vikings era and remains from Viking tombs around the Oslo Fjord.
    • Folklore Museum, Norway's largest museum of cultural history showcasing the way locals used to live from 1500 to the present.
  • Group dinner at Hard Rock Café.

Day 7: Oslo - Stockholm

  • Breakfast.
  • 2-hour Oslo Fjord sightseeing boat tour. You will see from the sea the National Opera & Ballet House and the Bygdøy peninsula, home to a varierty of insightful museums.
  • Train from Oslo to Stockholm. The breath-taking Swedish capital is made of 14 islands surrounded by forest and peaceful sea. It is also a vibrant city hosting a great variety of museums and galleries.
  • Group dinner onboard.

Day 8: Stockholm

  • Breakfast.
  • 2-hour guided tour of Stockholm. Among other highlights, you will see Gustav Adolfs Torg, the Old Town, the Swedish House of Lords, the Swedish Parliament and Stortorget Main Square.
  • Visit of Polkagriskokeri - Granna Peppermint Candy Shop in the old town. Availability dependent, you may want to attend a candy-making class to prepare and bring home some delicious souvenirs!
  • Entrance to the Vasa Museum. Discover the Vasa ship, which sank in Stockholm in 1628 and spent 333 years on the sea. This is the most visited museum in the whole of Scandinavia.
  • Group dinner.

Day 9: Stockholm

  • Breakfast.
  • Entrance to one of the following museums:
    • Swedish History Museum. Learn about the local history and everyday life from the ice age to the present.
    • Nobel Prize Museum. Engage in the great issues of our time relating to sciences, literature, and peace through exhibitions, school programs, and presentations.
  • Interactive activity specific to your group - ie. Music clinic, language workshop, international cooking class.
  • Farewell dinner in charming Gamla Stan (The Old Town).

Day 10: Departure Day

  • Breakfast.
  • Fly from Stockholm to home city.
