ITINERARY
Day 1: Departure Day
- Depending on the Departure City your group will either fly to Calgary then Drive or drive directly.
Accommodation: Moderate hotel in Jasper (2 nights).
Day 2: JASPER
- Breakfast at your hotel.
- Entrance to Jasper Planetarium. Including a tour outside with the largest telescope in the Rockies.
- There will be time to purchase lunch in Jasper (own expense).
- Jasper SkyTram ride up Whistlers Mountain in Jasper National Park (open until 5pm).
- Dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 3: JASPER / BANFF
- Breakfast at your hotel.
- Load your luggage and equipment on your charter bus and check out of your hotel.
- If time permits, stop at the Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre to check out the largest icefield in the Canadian Rockies.
- Drive to Lake Louise (approx. 2 hours).
- There will be time to purchase lunch (own expense) and enjoy the Lake - you may wish to take one of the short trails by the Lake.
- Drive from Lake Louise to Banff (approx. 4 hours with stops to purchase meals and for bathroom breaks).
- Ten pin bowling including shoe rental and pizza dinner.
Accommodation: Moderate hotel in Banff (2 nights).
Day 4: BANFF
- Breakfast at your hotel.
- Entrance to the Banff Hot Springs. It is located at 1,585 metres of elevation, which makes it the highest hot spring in Canada. The Upper Hot Springs are one of nine different naturally occurring hot springs in the Banff area.
- There will be time to purchase lunch (own expense) and to enjoy Banff at your leisure.
- Entrance to Whyte Museum (Open 10am to 5pm). This museum acquires, preserves, interprets and makes accessible the history and culture of the Rocky Mountains of Canada by inspiring and cultivating the exchange of knowledge and ideas through our collections and exhibitions.
- There will be time to purchase lunch (own expense) and enjoy the Lake â?? you may wish to take one of the short trails by the Lake.
- Dinner at a local Greek Restaurant (including belly dancing and plate smashing - subject to availability).
Day 5: Departure Day
- Breakfast at your hotel.
- Load your luggage and equipment on your charter bus and check out of your hotel.
- Depending on your schedule your group may have time to go on a group hike. Tunnel Mountain is easily accessible from the downtown area, a round-trip should only take 1-2 hours. Tunnel Mountain is one of the best spring hikes in Banff as its south facing exposure ensures early snow melt. The trail starts out in the forest, but the trees become sparser towards the top, with several windows and viewpoints affording stunning views of Banff, Mount Rundle, and the Bow Valley. This short 4.2 km hike is the perfect way to spend the morning.
