Seattle
Seattle is well known as one of the music capitals of North America with many great musicians and bands originating from here. Your tour can include a visit (and a class if you wish) to the Experience Music Project Museum and Science Fiction Museum, the historic Underground Tour, the Space Needle, Pikes Place Market, and the Pacific Science Center. Enjoy a Mariners game, the Seattle Symphony, musical theatre, ten pin bowling and skating. Other attractions include the Seattle Art Museum, the Museum of Flight. Wet n' Wild Amusement Park, Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture, the Woodland Park Zoo, Ride the Ducks, a cruise to Tillicum Village for a traditional salmon bake and the Boeing Tour and Future of Flight Museum.
Los Angeles/Disneyland
Besides the world renowned Disneyland and California Adventure Park with the top quality Magic Music Days clinics and performances, tours to Los Angeles and Anaheim can include Universal Studios, Knotts Berry Farm or Six Flags. Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour to see Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach, Hollywood, the Hollywood sign, Hollywood Bowl, and Grauman’s Theatre. Evening activities can include the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the LA Dodgers or Anaheim Angels baseball, a dinner theatre such as Medieval Times, Pirates Dinner Adventure, Battle of the Dance or music theatre.
San Francisco
Take a cruise to the famous Alcatraz prison, visit the Cable Car Museum, Pier 39 with it's Sea Lions, the Exploratorium, Navy Pier, the Maritime Visitors Centre, Ghiradelli Square, Coit Tower, the Golden Gate Bridge and the Aquarium of the Bay, or perhaps take a walking tour of Chinatown. Some museums are free on certain days of the month. Enjoy an evening at the San Francisco Symphony, a musical theatre or the Teatro Zinzanni. Perhaps include a day at Six Flags, Santa Cruz Boardwalk or Great America or take a trip to Sausalito. There are lots of public performance opportunities here.
San Diego
San Diego is a fabulous tour destination or can be added to a tour to Los Angeles and Disneyland for a 1 or 2 day stay. Enjoy a day at the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, The Wild Animal Park, a tour of the USS Midway, the San Diego Air and Space Museum, explore the Gas Lamp Quarter and the Old Town or enjoy the beautiful beaches. Visit the Museum of Making Music en-route.
Hawaii
Experience the spirit of Aloha with a performance or festival tour on the Island of Oahu. Stay at famed Waikiki Beach, visit Pearl Harbour and experience the culture of seven Polynesian villages at the Polynesian Cultural Center along with a Luau and Ha’ Breath of Life Show, set sail on a Sunset Dinner Cruise, visit Secret Island and see Pineapple fields on a Circle Island Tour. Options include snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, hiking up Diamond Head or thrilling adventure at Wet'n'Wild water park. Portland
"Funky" Portland has plenty to see including the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry with the Blueback Submarine tour and IMAX, Powell's books, the Oregon Zoo, the Portland Art Museum, Portland Craft Market, the Aerial Tram, Oak Park Amusement Park, The Grotto (Catholic Sanctuary), the 24 hour church of Elvis (!), Multnomeh Falls, and the Oregon Coast. Enjoy an evening at the Portland Symphony, musical theatre, the Portland Trail Blazers or ten pin bowling.
New Orleans
New Orleans is the birthplace of jazz and a mecca for many music genres. Experience the "flavour" of New Orleans with a walking tour of the historic French Quarter, a swamp tour, a riverboat cruise with jazz music, dinner and Cajun music at a Cajun restaurant, Zydeco music, a Plantation tour and performance, a musical evening at Preservation Hall, the Riverwalk Marketplace, or perhaps try a Cajun cooking class. The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra plays here for yet another musical experience.
New York
New York, the Big Apple, IS America, and could be considered one of the greatest cities in the world. Choose a musical clinic to suit your group's interests – perhaps a clinic at the Lincoln Centre, or with a member of the Philharmonic, or a Broadway clinic may be of interest? Then take in a Broadway musical, and perhaps add another as a matinee or off-Broadway production. Wander through Time Square, visit the Metropolitan Museum or the Museum of Modern Art, tour Radio City or Carnegie Hall, see John Lennon’s memorial in Central Park, stop to see Grand Central Terminal, walk over the Brooklyn Bridge to see the city skyline, take a cruise to the Statue of Liberty, watch a sporting event, experience gospel singing in a Harlem Church and see a jazz show at a local club … the list is endless!
Chicago
While in the "Windy City" visit and/or perform at the Willis Tower (Formerly Sears Tower) Skydeck, the Shedd Aquarium & Oceanarium, Field Museum and also visit the Michigan Avenue Shops and Navy Pier with an optional dinner and jazz at Joe's Bebop Café and Jazz Emporium. Be sure to include a musical theatre experience.
Orlando
The Disney World parks can take 3 to 5 days to explore along with clinics and performances and include the EPCOT Centre, Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park, Disney's Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Blizzard Beach Water Park and Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. You may also find time to see a baseball game, visit Universal Studios, the Kennedy Space Center or Gatorland or take an alligator airboat ride. See one of the many dinner theatre shows, the Orlando Symphony or the Philharmonic Orchestra,
Phoenix/Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon
The breathtaking Grand Canyon is one of the spectacular geographical highlights of this tour. There are also opportunities to see Montezuma's Castle, the Painted Desert, Petrified Forest and Meteor Crater. You may wish to fly in and out of Phoenix or Las Vegas.
Texas
Combine Austin, San Antonio, Dallas or Houston to enjoy the music and south-western origins of this unique state. Combine your visit with a festival and theme park, visit the Alamo and enjoy the Riverwalk in San Antonio; Sixth Street music, the flight of the bats and Town Lake in Austin; Fort Worth and the "cowboy" history of Dallas and the Johnston Space Center near Houston. Be sure to try a "Tex-Mex" meal while you're there!
