ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival Day

Drive or fly to Bellingham, the last major city before the Washington coastline meets the Canadian border. The city is at the center of a uniquely picturesque area offering a rich variety of recreational, cultural, educational activities.
Entrance to Whatcom Museum. The museum provides exhibitions about art, nature and history of the Northwest. Take part in a guided tour of the exhibitions followed by a hands-on interdisciplinary workshop.
Welcome dinner.

Day 2: Bellingham

Breakfast.
Entrance to SPARK Museum of Electrical Invention. Enjoy a guided tour of the exhibitions and demonstrations with early electrical device. Visit the static electricity lab, and try your hand at playing a vintage electronic musical instrument. The tour also includes a Tesla coil demonstration.
Program at Marine Life Center. The aquatic displays a hands-on touch tank introducing students to the marine flora and fauna of the Pacific Northwest.
Nature walk at Whatcom Falls Park. Take a short walk to beautiful falls and waterways, and spend some time exploring some of the well-maintained walking trails.
Group dinner.

Day 3: Bellingham – San Juan Island – Anacortes

Breakfast.
Drive to Anacortes where you will board a ferry to Friday Harbour on San Juan Island. Abundant in spectacular sceneries and wildlife, this island is one of the few remaining native prairies in the Puget Sound/Northern Straits region.
Ziplining tour. Adventure through the forest and take part in a total of 8 traverses through the Douglas Fir canopy, including one over a lake.
Educational program at San Juan Island National Historical Park, also know as American and English Camps. The programs offered by the park include a discussion about the Pig War, the Jakle's Lagoon Nature Walk and another talk describing habitats as the essential components of ecosystems that contribute to bio diversity. Ferry back to the main land and drive to Anacortes.
Group dinner.

Day 4: Departure Day

Breakfast.
Kayaking tour in Deception Pass. Enjoy Washington's marine wildlife and spectacular beauty in this 1.5-hour tour! Seals, eagles, porpoise among others are likely to make an appearance.
Drive or fly back to home city.
