ITINERARY

 

Day 1: Departure Day

  • Fly from departure city to Tel Aviv.

Day 2: Arrival to Tel Aviv

  • On arrival in Tel Aviv, you will be met by an EWT representative, who will be with you while you are in Israel (optional service).
  • Transfer to your accommodation in Tel Aviv.
  • The city that never sleeps welcomes you with its beautiful Mediterranean beaches, world-class museum and architecture, a modern way of life and a great food scene.
  • Arrive at your hotel for check-in. Unload your luggage.
  • Welcome dinner at your hotel.

Day 3: Jaffa / Caesarea / Muhraka - Meggido

  • Breakfast at your accommodation.
  • Panoramic Tour of Tel Aviv and Jaffa
  • Time to purchase lunch.
  • Proceed via the seacoast to Caesarea or Caesarea Maritima (by the sea), the old roman capital. Visit the Roman Theatre and Crusaders Fortress.
  • Continue north to Mount Carmel in Haifa and visit the Mukhraka.
  • Mount Meggido or Har Meggido in Hebrew, the source of Armageddon - the place of the last battle before Apocalypses - where you can see ruins dating from King Solomon's period.
  • Arrival in Tiberias
  • Dinner at a local restaurant or hotel.

Day 4: Tiberias / Cafarnaum / Nazareth

  • Breakfast at your accommodation.
  • Tour of Tiberias, one of the four Jewish sacred cities in the Holy Land, named after Tiberium, the second Roman emperor, and founded in 20 CE. From this port city, Jesus sailed the Sea of Galilee.
  • Boat cruise on the Sea of Galilee.
  • Jesus' boat at the Yigal Alon Centre
  • Capharnaum to visit St. Peter's house and the Synagogue where Jesus preached.
  • Lunch at own expense
  • Tabgha, Mount of Beautitudes, Cana of Galilee
  • Nazareth and the Annunciation Church
  • Dinner at a local restaurant or hotel

Day 5: Jordan River / Qumran / Nazareth

  • Breakfast at your accommodation.
  • Yardenit - Jesus' baptism site on the Jordan river
  • Beit Shean - one of Roman's Decapolis
  • Lunch at own expense
  • Qumran at the Dead Sea, -432m below sea level. Qumran was the place where, by accident, the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered inside caves, as they were forgotten for 2,000 years.
  • Drive through Judaea Desert and rise to Jerusalem, a Holy City for the three Monotheistic faiths and capital of Israel. The city was destroyed and rebuilt more than 70 times throughout history and now is a modern town that will surprise you. Stop at Mount Scopus for a group picture.
  • Arrive at your hotel for check-in. Unload your luggage.
  • Dinner at local restaurant or hotel.

Accommodation: Moderate accommodation Jerusalem (3 start) - 4 nights.

Day 6: Jerusalem

  • Breakfast at your accommodation.
  • Guided walking tour of Old Jerusalem. You will see Western Wall, the holiest place for the Jewish faith; Mount Zion where Jerusalem was first identified in the Old Testament and where allegedly the Tomb of King David is located, in the same building of the Room of the Last Supper.
  • Guided tour of Modern Jerusalem: the Israeli Parliament "Knesset" and its iconic Menorah, the Israel Museum and its carefully crafted scale-model of ancient Jerusalem.
  • Time to purchase lunch
  • Bethlehem - visit the Church of Nativity
  • Return to Jerusalem and dinner at a local restaurant or hotel.

Day 7: Jerusalem

  • Breakfast at your accommodation.
  • Guided tour of Biblical places in Jerusalem: Mount of Olives, the Garden of Gethsemane.
  • Time to purchase lunch.
  • Walking tour of Via Dolorosa or Via Crucis, the stations that recreate every step of the arrest, condemnation, death and resurrection, through the street of Old Jerusalem and then leaving the walls of the city to the Garden Tomb.
  • Dinner at a local restaurant or hotel

Day 8: Jerusalem / Masada / Dead Sea

  • Breakfast at your accommodation.
  • Good Samaritan Inn in the Judean Desert
  • Climb to Masada Fortress on the shores of the Dead Sea. Visit Herod’s Palace, Roman baths and all the intriguing structures build on a desolate hill in the desert.
  • Time to purchase lunch.
  • Stop at the Dead Sea, the lowest point of the planet.
  • Dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 9: Departure from Jerusalem

  • Breakfast at your accommodation.
  • Transfer to Tel Aviv airport
  • Fly from Tel Aviv to home city.
