Hello educators,

2020 is coming to an end! We don't know about you, but at EWT, we are excited for the New Year to come. We have really missed doing what we love the most – traveling –, and we literally can't wait for opportunities to expand as time goes by.

We can only imagine how challenging it must have been for you as a teacher, who had to alter all your interaction systems with your students. After such a tough year, what sounds better than a domestic or international tour with them to physically regather your community?

To help you with your planning process, and because it is soon Christmas, we have put together a little wish list of handy travel gadgets to ask Santa this year. Make sure to spread the word to your students!

EWT wishes you a wondrous holiday season!

Check out these fun travel gadget ideas so that you are ready for when it is safe to travel:

  1. Pocket-sized Power Bank (& Wi-Fi Hotspot)

Charging your and your students' phones (or tablets) while traveling may well become handy when researching information or to contact us and parents. Most power banks allow one to connect two or more devices at a time, and some products go one step further by providing a reliable 4G LTE service in many countries worldwide. No need to worry anymore about getting a foreign SIM card and all the costs involved!

A few ideas:

  • RAVPower

  • Anker PowerCore 20100

  • Skyroam Solis (also a Wi-Fi Hotspot!)

  1. Tiny Automated Travel Vacuum

Did you know that it was possible to remove the air inside your luggage, thus maximizing the space? How handy! You might not even need to pack lighter to fit everything in your suitcase, which will most likely save you some hassle and extra cost on tour. On top of that, your students will be able to bring more souvenirs home than ever before – along with unique memories from their unforgettable trip.

A few ideas:

  • Vago Travel Compressor

  • Pacum

  1. Rain Kit: Mini Packable Umbrella & Foldable Rain Coat

The weather can hardly be predicted in advance, which is why we strongly recommend equipping yourself with rain gear while traveling. While it can be tricky to find space in your suitcase, a packable umbrella will easily fit in your handbag or carry-on to make your life easier. Every rain kit should also include a raincoat – in our opinion, preferably one that folds into a bag, thus being portable while you are on the move with your students.

A few ideas:

  • Mini Packable Umbrella – Windriver

  • Foldable Rain Coat – Madwell

  1. Hand Sanitizer Holder or Bottle Container

It is no secret that in these times, hand sanitizer is a must-have while traveling. Yet, so are many other items, and it is easy to lose among everything else. One quick solution: clip it to your bag! A holder equipped with a hook is the perfect travel gadget post-2020. Even better, choose a portable bottle container to reduce your plastic consumption.

A few ideas:

  • Purell

  • LinkIdea

  1. Collapsible Water Bottle

Because water is a non-compromising necessity for all of us, and because students often forget to drink enough of it while on tour, carrying some yourself is always a good idea – especially on long days. And we are back to the packing challenge! Thankfully, collapsible AND reusable bottles to avoid plastic waste are a thing for you to bring everywhere on tour.

A few ideas:

  • Valourgo

  • Maxin

  1. Pompom Luggage Straps

On travel days, these colorful pompons will save you a lot of time! Identify your and your
students' luggage in no time at the airport, train or bus station and save your energy to lead your group. Besides looking original and cute, they are solid, water-resistant, and easily washable. You can either buy them or, if you are feeling creative for Christmas, DIY!

A few ideas:

  • Pomchies
